The name “Swan Yoga” comes from the fact that Hélène was teaching yoga outdoors in Zurich. And some swans were joining the class… Since then, those yoga gathering had always been called Swan Yoga, wherever the location around Zurich would be.
Hélène originates from Besancon in France and has lived, studied and worked in numerous countries mainly throughout Europe, the US and Australia. She discovered yoga in Milan in 2000 and enjoyed the experience so much that she embraced all aspects of its practice, expanding into the more physical aspects of yoga, studying Ashtanga, Vinyasa flow, Power, Sivananda, Anusara, Iyengar with various renown teachers.
She however now tries to incorporate the common elements of those experiences into clear and straightforward yoga practices with a particular focus on the breath. She is totally fascinated with yoga and how to link movements and breath.
Always eager to know more about the body, Hélène has studied and completed Traditional Chinese Acupuncture.
She is qualified as a certified yoga teacher (yoga Alliance RYT-200), 2nd degree Reiki practitioner, and Cranio-sacral therapist. Helene also holds a Masters degree (CEMS MIM) in International Management, and is speaking French, English, Italian and German.
An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough. One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feeling. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.
